Trusted Doula Support Across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, Central London — and Beyond
What do you want for your birth?
I’ve had countless conversations with people who know the birth they want, but feel unsure how to get there. Stories and advice from friends and family can leave you uncertain about how to navigate a path that feels right for you. While some aspects of birth are beyond your control, there is so much you can influence — and having the right support can make all the difference. If you're ready to take full responsibility for your choices, rather than simply following the flow of modern maternity services, I’m here as your doula to guide you.
This is for you if:
- You are questioning the birth outcomes of the standard path of maternity care
- You want to understand your options and feel confident in your decisions
- You value continuity and personalised support
- You want to feel steady and well supported throughout your birth
- You want to look back on your birth feeling clear and confident in your choices
This might not be the right fit if:
- You’re looking for someone to tell you what to do
- You feel happy leaving decisions entirely to your care providers
- You’re not looking for additional support alongside midwives
Hello, I'm Lisa
I’m a birth and postnatal doula based in Wimbledon, supporting families across South West London through pregnancy, birth, and those early days of parenthood.
I’ve supported families giving birth at home, in birth centres, and on labour wards across London — including Kingston, St. George's, Chelsea & Westminster, St Thomas’ and St. Helier.
My approach combines evidence-based information with calm, consistent support, so you can feel informed, steady, and clear in your decisions — without feeling overwhelmed or pressured.
I’m particularly passionate about supporting women who want to take ownership of their birth experience and feel confident navigating their options.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Birth Doula Support
Giving birth is a life-changing experience – and sometimes you only realise the full impact afterwards. As you prepare for labour and birth, it’s so important to feel informed and supported in making choices for yourself and your baby.
If you’re birthing within the NHS, you may not know who will be present at your birth – or even meet them beforehand! As your doula, I’m there to provide the continuous support you need and deserve.
Postpartum Doula Support
The first 40 days of your baby’s life set the scene for the next 40 months – and beyond. In the UK, we’ve lost sight of how to truly support new parents in this transition: how to nurture you, care for you, and provide a space to help you get to know your baby and grow in confidence.
I offer both emotional and practical support to help you get off to the best possible start. If you’d like, we can start planning your postpartum journey even while you’re pregnant.

"I cannot thank you enough, Lisa. Our birth experience would have been the same without you. You helped me advocate where I needed to get the resources I needed, and you me cope and helped fortify B. You were an absolutely indispensable part of our team, and we will remember you with so much fondness for playing such an important role in the birth of our son. "

What is a doula and why should I hire one?
Doulas exist to support you as parents. We’re here to walk alongside you on your journey to parenthood – whether you’re expecting your first baby or expanding your family.
Hiring a doula fills a gap in today’s maternity services. We provide true continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early days with your newborn. By building a trusting relationship, we can offer protection, reassurance, and advocacy during this exciting – but often vulnerable – life stage.
A Cochrane review of continuous support in labour showed there are real benefits to having a doula in your team. Many new parents feel overwhelmed and anxious, and a doula can help you navigate those early days with confidence, peace, and joy.
