Welcome to Doula for You
My name is Lucie Platt, I am married to Chris and have two lovely children who are seven and four. I live in Oundle, Northamptonshire and cover the surrounding areas approximately up to 20 miles from Oundle. I love babies and children and can support you through labour and birth and afterwards, help bring a sense of normality to your home at a time when chaos often prevails!
Following the two very different births of my own children, I knew I wanted to be able to offer families emotional and practical support before, during and after the birth of their baby and that is why I trained to be a doula.
Pregnancy, birth and the time following birth are both amazing and wonderful but can sometimes be daunting; both to the mother, partner and often older siblings. By hiring a doula, you can have that valuable, extra support at a time when you need it most and you can take a few hours to relax and enjoy getting to know your little one.
I have gained the Professional Doula Award Level 3 endorsed by CACHE (Coucil for Awards in Children's Care and Education) with www.babyonboarddoulas.co.uk
